2023 News 2023. 12. 21 - The NY State Senator, Lea Webb, toured our lab, where she engaged in an insightful exploration and discussion about our ongoing projects and research endeavors. 2023. 12. 14 - Congratulations to Zahra for receiving a Graduate Student Award for Excellence in Research for 2024! 2023. 12. 12 - Our research article on "Janus Paper-based Wound Dressings" has been accepted by Advanced Engineered Materials (IF 4.1) 2023. 11. 1 - Five papers have been accepted for oral and poster presentations at the IEEE MEMS 2024. Every member of our group will be actively engaged in this upcoming prestigious conference, showcasing their groundbreaking research. Our university, along with various funding agencies (NSF and ONR), has kindly agreed to cover the costs of registration, travel and accommodations. Additionally, Dr. Choi plays a pivotal role in the confernce, serving on the Technical Program Committee. He will also contribute expertise as the session chair for Session XIII, which focuses on Environmental and Biotechnology Innovations. Yang's biosensor work has been selected as a finalist for the Best Poster Award Competition.
2023. 10. 19 - Our research article on "Engineered Living Electrode" has been accepted by Advanced Engineered Materials (IF 4.1) 2023. 9. 20 - Our research article on "Transient Biobatteries for Disposable and Green Papertronics" has been accepted by Advanced Sustainable Systems (IF 7.1) 2023. 8. 23 - Our research article on "Biobatteries in Dual In-Line Package for Chip-On-Board Circuits" has been accepted by Advanced Materials Technologies (IF 6.8). 2023. 8. 08 - Dr. Choi as a sole-PI has received $400k grant from NSF for research on integrated papertronics. 2023. 8. 07 - Our research article on "Buoyant Biosolar Cell Array" has been accepted by Journal of Power Sources (IF 9.2). 2023. 7. 30 - Prof. Choi has been invited as the Technical Program Committee (TPC) member of MEMS 2024 and PowerMEMS 2023. 2023. 7. 20 - Prof. Choi has been invited to give a talk on "Advanced Materials and Manufaturing Processes for Transient Papertronics" at The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS) 2024 (March 3-7, 2024) in Orlando, Florida, USA (Session: Printed Electronics and Additive Manufacturing). 2023. 7. 12 - Dr. Choi gave an invited talk at IEEE FLEPS 2023 in Boston, USA (Focused session 7). 2023. 6. 29 - Our paper-based wearable biobattery has been featured in Nature Outlook. 2023. 6. 28 - Congratulations to Zahra for passing her prospectus exam! 2023. 5. 31 - Anwar Elhadad and Yang "Lexi" Gao attended the State of the University Campus Showcase in Albany, represening Binghamton University and our BML group.
